First Eskom and now Transnet

South Africa is breaking down. After all the corruption in Eskom was finally exposed, the government is starting to look into Transnet. It seems the agency has been buying some VERY expensive Chinese locomotives–at more than triple the usual price. The Transnet board has been accused of deliberately failing to act against Transnet executives fingered in a multi-million rand forensic report.

In addition, the Zuma faction of the ANC has been stonewalling the new President Ramaphosa and the machinery of government is gummed up.
