Ferbasa increases its ferroalloy sales in March

Brazil’s Ferbasa sold 25,100 mt of ferroalloys in March up from 19,314 mt in February. Included in the March production was 16,122 mt of high- and low-carbon ferrochrome (12,446 mt in February 2018) and 8,978 mt of ferrosilicon (6,686 mt in February). Ferbasa cited higher export prices in ferrosilicon and increased high-carbon ferrochrome sales in anticipation of a jump in the second quarter benchmark.

The company stopped giving monthly production numbers.
