Gulf Manganese looking to purchase manganese mine in Indonesia

Gulf Manganese is conducting due diligence on a manganese mine in Indonesia. The mine has been dormant since the Indonesian government banned the export of unprocessed ore since 2013; the mine had been producing high-grade manganese ore. The company will conduct the due diligence until the end of April and then will make a decision on whether to buy it. Gulf plans to eventually produce 155,000 mtpy of high-carbon ferromanganese but its initial production will be 22,000 mtpy.
