Premium for Turkish chrome ore stays high

While Chinese prices for most grades of chrome ore have gone up, marginally, in recent weeks, the most interesting thing is that prices for high-grade Turkish ore have increased the most and have stayed the strongest. Turkish (42% lumpy and 48% concentrate) dropped from $330-340 levels down to around $260 but have rebounded to $285-300 per mt. However, prices for South African UG2 decreased from $230-240 to $160-165 levels before only recovering to $180-185.  All prices are cif China main port basis.
